My background is rooted in music composition. I’m an experienced classical performer (voice), blossoming with a full ride to college to pursue music. At the conservatory I performed in many operas and musicals. But I also took the opportunity to take classes in music production, creative writing, and composition. This opened the possibility of expressing myself through non-auxiliary art forms. Currently, I explore other music genres such as experimental/avant garde music, rock, ambient, jazz, and atonal.
A major milestone was producing songs independently, from composing to singing to production and editing. My Operatic vocal background used to feel like something that wouldn’t benefit me on this contemporary venture. But I’ve started incorporating it so that I can show more forms of myself playing with old-and-new contrast. I have advanced skills in Logic Pro X and where I can essentially create an entire orchestra for bringing my compositions alive. I also use physical synths and percussion instruments.
After joining an environmentalist group in my area, I wanted to start telling stories of climate change and animal welfare with art. I then expanded into writing prose and poetry for inspiration, to accompany my music. My unique voice percolates through all of the disciplines in my projects. My style is often described as free, whimsical, modern yet nostalgic, vulnerable, and theatrical. The use of bright colors and large 20+ voice instrumentals All of my art is based around my personal journey of pure self expression, battling the perfectionism of coming from a formal art background. Moving forward, I am building a portfolio of projects built around a specific climate motivation that will incorporate several art forms yet my signature style throughout.
My mission is to transfuse different forms of art together in a transcendental style. My newest art approaches have been centered around climate change awareness.
